Learning Objectives
To develop the knowledge of the most important aspects of the Modern History, strictly connecting politics, culture, economy and scientific thought. In particular it will be examined thoroughly the years of the Kingdom of Etruria, mirror of the objectives in Italy of Napoleon I .

Course program
The first side of the course will be dedicated to a general landscape of Modern History from 1453 to 1815 observing in particular the links amidst politics, culture, economy and know how in science and technology.
The second side of the course will be dedicated to the Kingdom of Etruria, a microcosm in wnich is possible to observe costumes of Ancient Régime and novelties of the age of enlightenment and of Napoleon I.
