This course seeks to address the notion of material and immaterial cultural heritage, with reference to the Italian and international debate.
We will focus on the main interpretative models and the demo-ethno-anthropological heritage, its history and museums.
Learning Objectives
The purpose of the course is:
- to work critically on the concept of "heritage" focusing on its history and characteristics, with attention to the demo-ethno-antropological heritage.
- to provide students with an awareness of the importance of heritage and museums as instruments of social dialogue.
- to encourage critical thinking in terms of museums as cultural, social and political products within society.
