Course program
The second part deals in particular with the period from the 4th Millennium BC to the end of the 3rd Millennium BC, with the geographic region of Mesopotamia and with the concepts of “town”, “temple” and “palace”. Students will actively participate analyzing single buildings, reviewing scientific publications in order to gain the necessary tools to study Ancient Near East. Obtaining a solid chronological and geographic grid together with a full range of interpretative methods in archaeology is the main aim of this part and will let students better understand cultural processes and historical changes.
